• GEICO is seeking an experienced Finance Systems leader to manage the teams and systems supporting the Internal Audit, SOX, Internal Controls, and Real Estate departments. • This individual must have strong functional and technical Finance or Risk Systems background to partner with stakeholders and have effective discussions driving process and systems change to meet Business goals. • Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Planning and Controls Technologies, this role requires experience with Financial, GRC, Risk, or Real Estate Systems and a strong understanding and have worked with ERP systems. • The individual will be a key advisor and partner to Finance Leadership to redesign the way they use their technologies in supporting GEICO’s business. • The Leader is also accountable for the delivery of technology solutions that will support governance, risk, compliance, and real estate and facilities management functions. • This leader expected to provide systems management oversight, oversee a portfolio of projects, and work with multiple Finance and Technology leaders to set the systems strategy for the company’s GRC and Real Estate Systems. • Manage issues escalated from related projects. • Share your passion for staying on top of tech/industry trends, experimenting with, and learning recent technologies, participating in internal and external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.

Requirements

• 20+ years of Technology Systems experience • 15+ years of management or lead experience in guiding Technology teams • 5+ years at a Senior Manager or above level managing Technology teams • 2+ years working with a GRC or Risk related tools (e.g. Archer; Open Pages; Auditboard; Workiva; MetricStream; etc.) • GRC/Risk domain expertise to be able to work with senior Finance leaders to interpret their process and functional needs into system solutions • Understanding of Accounting process; Controls; Security; and SOX to partner with senior Finance Leaders • Experience with developing systems that are scalable, resilient, and highly available • Understanding of monitoring concepts and tooling • Experience architecting and designing new systems • Ability to communicate and work directly with business leaders across Technology and Finance • Solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices • Strong problem-solving abilities • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge and experience with the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication)
