• GEICO’s Enterprise Engineering team is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer to join our new Legal Technology organization. • You will build and maintain enterprise legal solutions that operate in a highly performant, efficient, and complaint way. • You will play a pivotal role in design and development of legal solutions, shape architecture, and drive innovation to meet the evolving business needs within the Legal Department. • Timely delivery of impactful projects that enhance GEICO’s legal service delivery will be a focus. • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in software development, been a key contributor within an engineering team, and have legal or similar domain exposure.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a technology leadership role supporting legal, risk & compliance, regulatory or similar teams • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards • Leadership and team management skills with a passion for mentoring and fostering professional growth • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving operational efficiency and automation • Fluency with at least one modern language such as Python, Java, Go and experience with open-source software is a big plus • Fluency with at least two .NET, HTML-5, JavaScript/TypeScript, XML, JSON, RESTful Web Services, and Event Driven Architectures • Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS or similar public cloud environment • Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments
