• Maintains high visibility as the first point of contact for HR-related interactions. • Supports implementation of corporate policies, programs and procedures. • Assists in performance management process. • Provides job and compensation related support. • Partners with recruitment team to ensure a smooth recruitment process. • Responds to HR statutory requirements from government and regulatory agencies. • Contributes to maintaining the Employee Handbook. • Works with vendors to support work visa applications where required and insurance renewals. • Facilitates collaborative problem-solving strategies through effective communication. • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with regional and global HR teams and cross-functional relationships within APAC. • Supports local committee to organise employee events. • Supports Special Projects whenever necessary. • Manages the day-to-day HR operations including updates to HRIS (Workday) system.
• Confidentiality – understanding and respecting the confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements. • Multi-lingual preferred – English, Korean and/or Japanese. • Strong attention to detail, works with a sense of urgency and prompt follow-up. • Proven work experience successfully supporting HR and employment matters in Japan and/or South Korea, preferably in the IT&T industry. • Takes initiative to collaborate and build strong professional relationships. • Familiar with employment laws in Japan/South Korea. • Strong HRIS system (preferably Workday) experience with the capability to work with and present HR data for key HR metrics. • Professional maturity in responding to the HR needs of a software technology company and approaches work with a growth mindset. • Resourceful and organized with strong interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written) guided by cultural awareness. • Immigration experience (employment passes and visa requirements) an added advantage. • Able to travel if required.
