• We are looking for a Assistant Manager, Payroll to manage client payroll implementations and monthly payroll processing in Spain. • The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, leading payroll setups, providing guidance to clients, and coaching junior team members. • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through the payroll setup process, addressing inquiries, and ensuring smooth onboarding. • Oversee payroll implementations, ensuring compliance with Spanish payroll regulations, Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), and local legal requirements. • Manage and support the full payroll cycle, including data migration, payroll parallels, and system configurations for new clients. • Train and mentor junior payroll specialists, ensuring they are equipped to handle regular payroll processing. • Review and approve monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing payroll-related questions and resolving complex issues. • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery. • Ensure compliance with Spanish statutory requirements, including tax filings, social security contributions, and other reporting obligations. • Stay informed of changes in payroll laws and regulations in Spain and communicate updates to both clients and the team.
• 7+ years of hands on experience in processing Spanish payroll in-house end-to-end, including handling payroll implementations and processing for complex cases. • Expertise in Spanish payroll laws, tax regulations, and Collective Bargaining Agreements. • Experience managing data migration, payroll parallels, and system configuration. • Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to guide clients through payroll-related processes. • Proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal. • Proven leadership and coaching skills, with experience training and mentoring junior team members. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy in payroll processing. • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and handle complex inquiries. • Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach to delivering excellent service.
