β’ Nift is disrupting performance marketing, delivering millions of new customers to brands every month. β’ Seeking first legal hire. Greenfield opportunity for the right Corporate Attorney. β’ Provide strategic legal guidance and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. β’ Drafting and Reviewing Contracts: Prepare, review, and negotiate a wide variety of corporate contracts. β’ Manage contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution, renewal, and termination. β’ Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks in contractual terms. β’ Review existing privacy policy and company procedures for data privacy compliance. β’ Create legal roadmap for international expansion. β’ Apply understanding of employment laws in hiring and termination matters. β’ Protect trademarks, copyrights, and patents. β’ Review comprehensive insurance program for appropriate coverage. β’ Develop and maintain corporate governance policies and procedures. β’ Work with and manage outside counsel.
π― Requirements
β’ 5+ years experience post-law school β’ 2+ years experience as in-house counsel for a consumer-facing technology company, preferably for a venture-backed early stage company, collaborating with sales and product teams β’ In-depth experience with drafting and negotiating contracts & agreements β’ Expertise in data privacy regulations and cybersecurity laws (GDPR, CCPA) β’ Privacy by design experience, CIPP certified information privacy professional a plus β’ Knowledge of digital advertising platforms and standards a plus β’ Experience in international business expansion β’ A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a reputable accredited law school β’ Active bar membership, licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction β’ Strong attention to detail, very organized, with ability to appropriately prioritize projects β’ Independent, self driven, with good business acumen β’ Strong communication skills, articulate, and with the ability to influence others β’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills β’ Ability to stay updated on rapidly evolving technology trends and legal developments
