• DNV Energy Systems is looking for a Sales Manager based in Germany to support the Smart Cable Guard (SCG) Unit within DNV. • The overall purpose of the job is to support the Smart Cable Guard Unit in its role to help DNV safeguard life, property and the environment. • You will be expected to visit (potential) customers on a regular basis, traveling between 25% and 50% of your time. • You will identify, drive and facilitate sales and advise clients on the application of SCG within their networks. • Achieve sales in DACH and Northern Europe as per targets agreed. • Create a plan and own order intake and pipeline targets for DNV SCG in assigned countries in DACH and Northern Europe.
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent professional experience • 5+ years of sales/BD/account management experience/preferably in the electric utility sector • Proven ability to develop a sales funnel, negotiate and close business in a complex selling environment • Strong written and verbal German and English communication skills for all business development activities • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills used externally and internally • Interpersonal skills to maintain long term mutually beneficial relationships with existing and potential customers • Willingness to travel within the region and limited internationally • Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred/background in value-based solution selling • Ability to demonstrate the SCG system, with confidence in the product, at customer meetings and events • Experience working in the DSO/Utility space, with an existing network within the DNO’s/DSO’s • Demonstrated success selling at the senior level • Skilled at using customer relationship management (CRM) software such as Sales Force for opportunity tracking and reporting of a pipeline • Start-up mindset with capacity to collaborate with product development, operations, and marketing to advance SCG growth • Proficient at building and reporting regional sales plan(s)
