📋 Description

• Ownership of all accounting-related matters regarding the credit union’s loans including end-to-end management and operation of the credit union's CECL models, performing related support calculations, reconciliations and associated controls, and helping guide development of reserve methodology. • Works closely with loan origination departments, senior and executive management on special projects and analyses. • Department liaison/representative for both internal & external credit union projects and implementation of interdepartmental initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in economics, mathematics, finance, accounting or related field from an accredited college or university required. • Five years of progressive experience in Credit Administration/Risk Management, Loan Accounting, or Finance required. • Two years of direct responsibility with CECL calculation within a mid-size or larger financial institution is preferred. • CFA, CPA, FRM, and/or PRM preferred. • Must have sound knowledge of CECL accounting standards, related regulatory guidance, and industry best practices. • Must be familiar with using financial modeling applications to produce reserve calculations. • Capable of using advanced features within Excel and familiarity with and comfortable learning business intelligence tools such as PowerBI and SQL. • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, organization, multi-tasking and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
