Description

• Designs, installs, configures, and maintains GTT networks. • Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting. • Reviews, plans, and evaluates network systems. • Maintain network capacity and resources to include CFA and network ports. • Work with service delivery and other departments to deliver physical network capacity. • Work with Engineering, Access Planning, and Network Implementation teams to deliver network growth and network optimization. • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years and proven track record building, installing, and maintaining service provider networks. • Demonstrable experience in supporting, upgrading, and managing carrier class network hardware, Juniper experience preferred. • Experience in supporting and deploying POP builds within carrier neutral datacenters. • Proven cable management skills and experience in working with cross-connect inventory databases. • A strong working knowledge of general network topologies and standards. • Knowledge and experience with typical interconnect technologies or methods like Fiber, Cat5, 1/10/100 Gigabit Ethernet, DWDM. • Ability to take complete ownership of large projects and deliver these to a high standard against tight deadlines. • Strong analytical skills and able to solve technical and logistical problems. • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative. • Juniper/Cisco certifications-desirable
