Description

• Assist in effecting more efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices • Manage the entire process of custom manufacturing projects, from development and sourcing to production and overseas shipping • Work closely with internal teams and international partners to ensure smooth operations and successful project outcomes • Management of strategic sourcing and suppliers/factories development for new and existing product categories • Understanding of production capacities, lead-times, and shipping timeframes and ability to negotiate all of them • Obtain quotes from different suppliers/factories internationally • Maintain current knowledge of the relevant product category and new or potential markets • Collect and analyze all cost-related factors • Negotiate price, quantity, and delivery schedules with factories/suppliers • Assess quotes and compile a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns • Provide solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing • Monitor all activities related to import projects to ensure adherence to final production schedules • Provide regular and timely responses and updates to internal stakeholders

Requirements

• 2+ years related sourcing specialist and/or product line management and development experience • Previous experience with overseas importing and pricing • Ability to analyze and interpret business documents • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and effectively present information to and respond to internal/external contacts and management • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) • Great communicator and listener in-person, over phone, email, and videoconference • Strong work ethic, with a good humored with a positive “can do” attitude • Values curiosity, creativity, inclusive teams, and achieving results • Problem solver that is comfortable making judgment calls how to spend time • Loves learning by providing, receiving and responding positively to constructive feedback • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills; Motivated by deadlines • Able to work additional hours when required
