β’ Lead corporate governance programs and procedures, including oversight of board/committee operations, entity management and compliance β’ Review and redline all legally binding contracts and agreements β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and prioritize contract activities β’ Identify and mitigate business and legal risks in contracts β’ Manage and ensure compliance with various state and federal corporate registration requirements β’ Maintain and manage corporate entity databases β’ Assist Legal team with documentation needs for legal holds, investigations, and discovery
β’ Bachelor's degree in applied science, business administration, marketing, accounting, finance, economics, pre-law or a similar field is preferred β’ 5-7 years of proven experience in corporate compliance, paralegal or similar field β’ 5 years of solar energy experience at a commercial & industrial or community solar developer is preferred β’ Experience working with contracts, corporate documents, Secretary of State filings and registered agents across multiple jurisdictions β’ Relevant experience with energy transactional documents (Development, M&A, C&I Retail, or comparable complex contracts related to energy) β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite β’ Experience with contract management SaaS platforms β’ Authorization as a Notary Public β’ Demonstrated integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality β’ Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong understanding of legal terminology and ability to meet strict, non-flexible deadlines in time-sensitive environments β’ Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a commitment to responsiveness and follow-through on programs and plans
