• The Accounting Operations team manages all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations, including vendor and provider accounts payable, daily treasury activities, corporate credit cards, intercompany transactions, and payroll. • The role of AP Accountant, Accounting Operations will assist with all areas of accounting operations with a primary focus on accounts payable function. • Assist with the accounts payable operations, including management of AP inbox, vendor onboarding, vendor inquiries, and preparation of AP reconciliations. • Ensure vendor invoices are properly coded & approved in the billing system, with appropriate support for processing. • Assist with corporate credit card coding and posting into the general ledger, including careful review of coding and impact in the general ledger. • Assist with processing and reviewing employee reimbursements. • Assist with the month-end close process, including assisting with completing account reconciliations and preparing/posting manual journal entries. • Review the work performed by the outsourced offshore accounting team and prepare new training instructions as needed. • Enhance accounting operations procedures to adhere to public company Sarbanes-Oxley Act control requirements. • Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects and resolve issues from daily accounting operations processes. • Take ownership and initiative for accounting operation process improvements and process documentation.
• 2+ years of experience in the accounting profession, with public accounting or public company experience, strongly preferred • BA or BS degree from a top-ranking university in accounting, business administration, or economics required • Advanced Excel Skills required • Netsuite, BILL(.com), Brex, Coupa experience preferred • Top-level critical thinking and analytical skills • Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to think through complex problems, determine proper processes, derive accounting conclusions, and present results to the team • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment • Ability to be a team player, and ability to work well in both In-Person & Remote work environments
