📋 Description

• Responsible for development of assessment content in specialized subject area (e.g. Math), execution of department processes and procedures and monitoring progress against work plans. • The Sr. Assessment Designer applies a high level of knowledge and skill in all phases of test development, including item writing, review and evaluation, test assembly, facilitation of committee meetings, and scoring. • Unique responsibilities include content-area leadership, senior-level reviews, training, project coordination, and approval of development deliverables.

🎯 Requirements

• Subject-matter content expertise. • Expertise in industry standards for assessment quality, especially in technical requirements for items and tests. • Expertise in assessment development processes for custom and shelf products. • Working understanding of research design, data analysis, psychometric concepts, and measurement principles. • Ability to collaborate extensively with peers to accomplish goals. • Experience in instructional design and delivery of training. • Ability to develop creative solutions to solve resource and schedule challenges. • 3 combined years of subject-area teaching experience and experience as a test development specialist. • BS or BA in relevant field (e.g., Math, Education). • Preferred but not necessary MS or MA in relevant field (e.g. Math, and/or Education). • Minimum of 5 years of K-12 classroom teaching experience. • Minimum of 3 years educational assessment experience.

🏖️ Benefits

• Salary Range - $80,000 – $95,000. • Our salary ranges are based on national averages. • We have wide ranges so we can be flexible and determine compensation based on a number of factors including the candidate’s skills, experience, education, and location.
