• About the job • We are looking for a VP of Finance to lead the Finance Operations, Automation and Control team. Hopper is experiencing rapid growth, and we need a leader who will take ownership over a significant portion of the finance organization and prepare Hopper for public markets. You will represent Hopper and Finance at various levels, including board interactions, C-level decisions, and the Audit Committee. • The primary focus will be on building a strong, tech-enabled Finance organization and superior internal operations & controls, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and innovation in finance operations and automation. You'll also have the flexibility to expand your scope in areas you wish to grow or where you have distinct expertise.
• Extensive Financial Leadership Experience: At least 10+ years in finance leadership roles, preferably including time at high-growth companies. • Public Company Experience: Direct involvement in IPOs, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting, with experience interacting with Audit Committees and external auditors. • Collaborative Leadership: Comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders, including board members, C-level executives, and cross-functional teams. • Team Builder: Proven ability to build, lead, and mentor high-performing finance and operations teams in a fast-paced, scaling environment. • Finance Automation & Operations: Strong track record of leveraging technology and automation to streamline finance operations and controls, preferably with experience in ERP implementations or system optimizations. • Controls and Compliance: Deep expertise in establishing and maintaining internal controls, risk management practices, and audit readiness. • Strategic Mindset: Adept at combining data-driven insights with strategic thinking to influence key decisions.
