• As a Corporate Legal Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our company meets legal and regulatory requirements within the fintech and SaaS sectors across the UK and USA. • Provide legal advice on matters related to fintech regulations, SaaS agreements, data privacy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and intellectual property, with a focus on compliance across the UK and USA. • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including software licensing, service agreements, and partnership contracts. • Offer guidance on compliance with financial regulations, data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and cybersecurity standards. • Support corporate governance and establish internal policies aligned with industry regulations and best practices. • Advise on and support M&A, strategic partnerships, and IP matters. • Collaborate with other legal experts, particularly on intellectual property and patent-related matters. • Represent the company in legal proceedings or negotiations, as required. • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations impacting the fintech and SaaS sectors in both the UK and the USA. • Assist in developing and implementing internal compliance training programs.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Licensed to practice law, ideally obtained a couple of years ago, with experience at a law firm. • Minimum 3+ years of experience in corporate law with a focus on fintech, SaaS, or technology. • Expertise in M&A, intellectual property (IP), and patents, with practical experience in both the UK and the USA. • Strong technical understanding of IP data. • Demonstrated experience with data privacy laws, specifically GDPR in the UK and CCPA in the USA, as well as software licensing. • Excellent collaboration skills, as multiple resources may be involved in addressing complex legal needs.
