📋 Description

• HubSpot is looking for a business-oriented and skilled attorney to join our Data, Privacy, and Security practice on the HubSpot Legal & Compliance Team. • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney to lead our data governance and data use practice. • As a key member of our Product, Engineering, Privacy, and IP Legal team, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our data strategy, ensuring compliance with global data protection laws and regulations, and fostering a culture of responsible data use. • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework. • Develop and lead a cross-functional data governance council to drive data management and governance initiatives and decision-making. • Advise stakeholders on legal and ethical considerations related to data analytics, machine learning, AI, data sharing, and international data transfers. • Ensure compliance with global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry best practices. • Develop and deliver training programs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data governance into business processes.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar. • 8+ years of legal experience with a focus on data privacy, data security, and data governance. • In-depth knowledge of global data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant legislation. • Experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • CIPP/US or CIPP/E certification is a plus. • Experience in the tech industry is preferred.
