β€’ Do you want to join our highly dedicated team that works together to provide our clients with the highest possible level of service in the industry? β€’ ICC NTA LLC is a leading third-party building product evaluation organization and has a new opportunity for you! β€’ We are seeking a Project Engineer. This is a remote position. β€’ Candidate must be a detail-oriented engineer with strong technical aptitude, computer skills, and excellent communication skills. β€’ Responsibilities Include: β€’ Work with building product manufacturers to meet technical and quality requirements pertaining to certification. β€’ Identify codes and standards applicable to a building product. β€’ Provide test plans, technical support, and test report review services to testing laboratories pertaining to product certification testing. β€’ Determine applicable loads for building components based on design standards, building code, and acceptance criteria. β€’ Perform and annotate calculations and analyses in accordance with code-referenced design standards. β€’ Help clients develop quality control systems that ensure ongoing performance and compliance of their products. β€’ Promote clear communication among colleagues and with others throughout the Building Product Industry. β€’ Oversee, organize, prioritize, and schedule all own work activities and assignments, seeking help as needed.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, fire protection, science, or related technology. β€’ Professional license, EIT certificate, or willingness to work toward licensure. β€’ Preferred Experience: Two years of experience in building products. β€’ Applying laboratory methods and devising test programs for building products with and without well-defined evaluation methods. β€’ Analytical design for strength and serviceability of building products and systems. β€’ Preferred familiarity with: International Building Code/International Residential Code. β€’ Code-referenced design standards, including AISI, ASCE, and AWC. β€’ ICC-ES Acceptance Criteria. β€’ ASTM Testing Standards, and other independent organizations with product testing standards. β€’ NFPA and UL standards. β€’ State of Florida Product Approval, Quality Assurance Programs. β€’ Miami Dade, Notice of Acceptance, Quality Assurance Programs. β€’ CFR Part 3280, Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards (HUD Code). β€’ Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
