Description

• Design services, workflows, and products that help the federal government work better. • Collaborate with product owners and researchers to discover product opportunities. • Deliver solutions through iterative prototyping and testing. • Take designs from concepts and wireframes through functional prototypes. • Generate ideas, explore possibilities, and secure stakeholder buy-in. • Ensure end products meet user expectations. • Support UX vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives. • Apply human-centered design techniques to understand user needs. • Plan and execute user research to inform iterations and generate validated UX designs. • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate user experiences. • Assist in the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative user data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in design, human computer interaction, business, computer science, computer engineering, information systems or related field. • 8 + years of applied UX design experience in the software industry. • Able to provide and present a portfolio demonstrating your design process and deliverables such as wireframes, mockups, and functional prototypes. • Extensive understanding of HCD principles including but not limited to user research, user needs, user feedback and workflows. • Ability to work using Agile methodologies. • Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US. • Candidate must have resided in the US 3 of the last 5 years. • Candidate must be eligible for public trust. • Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Level AA / Section 508 compliance preferred. • 10+ years of overall professional experience preferred. • Master’s degree in design, human computer interaction, business, computer science, computer engineering, information systems or related field. • Experience in federal contracting or healthcare IT preferred. • Active or past clearance to work with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or the US Department of Health and Human Services.
