β€’ Seeking a board-certified clinical laboratory molecular geneticist with leadership experience in hereditary disease screening and diagnostic genetic testing β€’ Lead the development and execution of medical affairs strategy in the Americas β€’ Represent medical affairs within cross-functional teams focused on AMR hereditary disease and reproductive genetics β€’ Responsible for research and evidence generation in hereditary disease to drive adoption of genomics in healthcare β€’ Influence product development for hereditary disease genomics

🎯 Requirements

β€’ MD or PhD certified by the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics in clinical molecular genetics or laboratory genetics and genomics β€’ 10+ years of direct hands-on CLIA/CAP clinical laboratory experience required in hereditary disease screening and diagnostic testing β€’ Experience with Illumina next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics technologies preferred, but not required β€’ 10+ years of executive or senior leadership experience in a clinical genomics laboratory β€’ 10+ years experience leading teams of individuals with diverse expertise β€’ 8+ years leadership experience required in medical affairs in a clinical genomics laboratory setting in the United States β€’ Experience bridging activities of medical teams with those of commercial, regulatory, legal, quality, product, and other teams β€’ Demonstrated extensive research and publications output in prominent scientific journals as first or senior author β€’ Experience interacting with patient advocacy groups, government policymaking bodies, and federal regulatory bodies β€’ Excellent cross-functional leadership experience in highly-matrixed setting β€’ Excellent speaking skills to present Illumina research to national audiences β€’ Ability to travel at least 30%
