📋 Description

• For more than 80 years, Kaplan has been a trailblazer in education and professional advancement. • The Senior Financial Analyst provides recurring financial reporting and analysis for the assigned functional area including preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. • Prepare annual budgets and supporting documentation for assigned functional areas primarily via Excel and the Oracle Cloud financial reporting system. • Prepare monthly forecasts considering current and future business trends for assigned functional areas primarily via Excel and Oracle Cloud. • Prepare monthly actual vs. budget and forecast variance analyses. • Routinely communicate with functional leaders, resolve inquiries, and provide insights and feedback for improving operation results. • Prepare ad hoc analyses (via Excel) and related presentations (via PowerPoint) related to business unit initiatives and financial impact from the proposed operation, policy, or process changes. • Prepare account reconciliations, analyses, and other related accounting schedules required for monthly accruals related to assigned functional area. • Collaborate with members of the team to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Finance or Accounting; MBA Preferred • 3+ Years' experience with a focus on financial analysis in a dynamic corporation • CPA or CFA preferred but not required • Experience with Oracle or a similar large ERP system • Experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Effective written and verbal communication skills understands accounting principles and procedures, analytically minded with a desire to learn about the business • Customer service oriented, ability to work independently, and adapts to changing priorities • PowerPoint presentation experience preferred
