📋 Description
• Kinsta is one of the top-managed WordPress hosting companies, with a growing club of 120,000+ businesses including startups, universities and Fortune 500 firms. • That's because, to us, each day is a chance to grow. As a team, we continuously inspire each other to learn new and better ways to make an impact. • We’re looking for an experienced DevOps engineer whose role will center on PHP development for WordPress and related integrations. • The engineer will focus on Kinsta's PHP-related infrastructural elements such as the Kinsta Must Use Plugin and our application monitoring system (APM). • Additional responsibilities include contributing to the overall development of DevOps tools and platforms and ensuring reliability and scalability across our hosting environment. • This role is expected to participate in SysOps day-to-day duties as-needed. The primary goal is to deliver high-quality development solutions while supporting the operational requirements of the platform when necessary.
🎯 Requirements
• 3+ years of hands-on Linux experience, ideally with Ubuntu, and the ability to handle SysOps tasks confidently. • 3+ years of PHP development experience, with a strong focus on WordPress-specific projects (plugins, themes, or core contributions). • Familiarity with deployment and automation tools—experience with Ansible or similar technologies is a plus. • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and experience troubleshooting performance, scalability, or reliability issues in production environments.
