Description

• Actively participate in designing and implementing testing scenarios. • Conduct tests before product and feature launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs. • Promote quality within the organization. • Develop use-cases and test scenarios. • Perform functional, performance, and automated software testing on desktop commercial applications. • Cooperate with software development engineers, end users and business analysts. • Troubleshoot problems discovered during the testing process. • Create general and detailed testing documentation, Bug Reports and Release notes. • Create UAT documentation and perform UAT process with the client. • Provide technical support for enterprise-level application systems. • Manage, classify, and respond to technical support tickets. • Troubleshoot issues reported by customers in live production environments. • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify potential solutions for how to resolve an issue. • Communicate with the client to find out the nature of the issued problem. • Establish the root causes of application errors and escalate serious concerns. • Ensure technology standards, patterns and practices are understood and implemented. • Work closely with the pm, business & technical team and copywriters to ensure best practices for User & training documentation.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of relevant work exp as QA & Support Engineer. • University Degree in the field of IT. • Knowledge of Agile testing methodologies and techniques. • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing. • Knowledge of the Software Development Process. • Knowledge of system monitoring tools such as Nagios. • Knowledge of application monitoring tools such as Rollbar or Sentry. • Adaptable technical knowledge and ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Passion for quality, performance, reliability and stay up-to-date with test strategies, monitoring tools and technology. • Experience in security, performance and automation testing is a plus. • Bilingual: Fluent in English. French is also an asset. • Self-managed mindset.
