Requirements

• Deep understanding of applied statistics and product analytics • Ability to derive well-articulated hypotheses, execute appropriate statistical tests, and interpret the results for a non-statistical audience • Adept at leveraging data and experimental methods to divine the true nature of business phenomena such as price elasticity, customer behavior, risk, fraud, process performance • Familiarity and exposure to various machine learning models - we do a lot of prototyping and evaluating • A demonstrated ability to quickly adopt new tools, algorithms, and analysis techniques • A working competency in python as well as experience with common data science tooling (e.g. jupyter, git, SQL, matplotlib, AWS EC2, to name a few) • Experience in an environment that is doing regular causal inference, A/B testing or experimental design • Deep intuitions when navigating complex client environments while maintaining a high bar for client service • Experience with one or more specialized analytical domains like causal modeling, power analysis or econometrics • A deeply collaborative nature that complements multidisciplinary project teams • Experience with the Scientific Method and applying it to solve business problems • Experience with storytelling using data visualization • More on the storytelling piece - experience presenting technical approaches and findings to a range of technical and non-technical audiences • Demonstrated professional experience working all the way from identifying data for a specific problem set, selecting appropriate solutions, and presenting the findings of those solutions • Someone who’s resourceful and is comfortable with decision making
