•Schedule: Sunday - Thursday OR Tuesday - Saturday (to be discussed during interview process); 8AM - 5PM •Classification: Full Time - Exempt •Location: Remote, working from home •Travel Required: No •Lap of Love is a national practice dedicated exclusively to in-home end of life care for pets. We believe all pets and their families deserve the most compassionate and supportive end of life experience. Our experienced veterinarians help pets and their families with quality of life assessments, pain and anxiety management, end of life consultations, and peaceful euthanasia in the comfort of their pet’s favorite place – home. •Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, headquartered in Lutz, FL., seeks to add a key member to its growing team by employing a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to support our Human Resources team, an extension of Lap of Love’s People and Planning Department. This individual will play an instrumental role in Lap of Love’s day-to-day operations by collaborating closely with the Director of Human Resources and our HR team to handle administrative tasks and connect with Lap of Love’s team members, ensuring the smooth operation of the department and maintaining a high-quality, employee-focused culture. At Lap of Love our culture is a staple piece of ‘who’ we are; we are committed to creating a team-oriented environment that promotes unmatched camaraderie, and as an HR Generalist, this person will play a staple role in supporting and enhancing this culture.

🎯 Requirements

•Minimum of 2 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, required •Broad knowledge and thorough understanding of Human Resources, with expertise and knowledge in benefits programs, policies and procedures, state laws and regulations affecting Human Resources Management and organizational objectives, and regulatory compliance, required •Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field, preferred •SHRM-CP or equivalent certification, preferred •Experience with multi-state employment, preferred •Prior experience with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Maps), Paylocity, Monday.com, and Zoom, preferred •High attention to detail and ability to adapt to new processes •Project management and multitasking experience •Excellent written and oral communication skills •Ability to quickly learn new technology and software •Self-starter with excellent follow-up skills •Display compassion, control, and confidence in all aspects of the position •Willingness to work with others and respect their views •Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity •Ability to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision •Able to multitask effectively •Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment •This position is a remote role requiring the ability to work independently. Hours may vary and weekend availability may be necessary to complete the necessary job functions
