Description

• Functions as a technical leader • Coordinate overall design activities and project submission schedules • Responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control duties • Prepare and review design computations, plan designs, and drawings • Review submittals and coordinate project submissions • Prepare specifications, draft letters, and written technical reports • Complete inspections and field work assignments • Research and interpret written regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements • Maintain appropriate documentation of work and project records • Develop technically accurate, clean, and deliverable drawings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from ABET-accredited school or related field of study • Minimum of 5 years job-related experience • Professional Engineer (PE) license required • Thorough knowledge of the design and development process of transportation bridge projects • Knowledge of AASHTO and PennDOT Design Manuals, Standards, Specifications, Engineering Software, and Microstation • Ability to prepare bridge design, bridge construction plans, and specifications
