📋 Description

• The Director, Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to HR staff • Responsible for organizational development initiatives, policies and programs covering employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee engagement, employee relations, recruiting and retention, workforce systems, and compliance with applicable laws • Partners with VP, Human Resources to support all Company functions • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of regulatory changes affecting employment-related matters and guiding the HR team to meet goals and objectives • Implements human resource strategies by evolving outcomes from strategic intent • Provides leadership and consulting support to leaders to achieve corporate objectives and business growth • Streamlines business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the department • Oversees the development and deployment of various HR programs and employee engagement initiatives • Provides strategic support to leaders in coaching and team building • Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with regulations

• Proven knowledge and application of HR practices, principles and applicable employment laws and regulations • Proven ability to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the requirements of senior management and to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the Company • Proven ability to successfully manage broker and vendor relationships • Proven ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form • Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team • Analytical ability to develop and maintain relevant HR metrics • Excellent project management and planning skills, while providing high attention to details • Effective team building skills • Ability to multi-task and manage several projects at one time • Proven ability to make sound decisions within established guidelines • Must be able to function in a deadline driven environment • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law • Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs • Proven ability to manage people; train and motivate employees at all levels, as well as delegate effectively • Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS)
