β€’ Perform design engineering for Leidos electric utility customers β€’ Perform 3rd party make ready design and analysis; potentially work on capital/ reliability design β€’ Execute QAQC tasks for your design team; You will play a role in quality reviews of your team's designs prior to submittals for client projects β€’ Review engineering design packages with clients; Review and organize existing program work β€’ Perform distribution design by creating construction sketches and producing bill of material for 3rd party design β€’ Perform functional tasks, planning, and/or customer follow-up β€’ Perform scope analysis of work assigned and maintain schedule adherence to advocate client priorities β€’ Gain experience in coordinating conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements β€’ Assessing and developing large design packages for complex cable/conduit projects in dense urban environments β€’ Work permit development, easements, and ROW applications β€’ Be comfortable in both a field and office setting; the role could possibly require some customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages

Requirements

β€’ A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience working with Third Party Make Ready Projects for electric utilities β€’ Completed Associates Degree is minimum education requirement, technical or design field preferred β€’ Experience and demonstrated proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) β€’ Experience with engineering design quality control β€’ Familiarity with Pole Loading software (O-Calc, Pole Foreman, etc) β€’ Demonstrated Experience with development of civil & electrical packages associated with complex cable/conduit in dense urban environments β€’ Experience working with US-based electric utilities either in a consulting environment or directly at a utility is required β€’ Preferred Experience/Qualifications: Demonstrated experience and proficiency with STORMS software and GIS Engineering β€’ Bachelor's degree may be preferred, but not required β€’ Experience with Right-of-way applications and permitting β€’ AutoCAD β€’ Familiarity with consulting environment for electric utilities
