📋 Description
• This role is responsible for identifying and evaluating renewable energy opportunities to support data center energy needs. • The candidate will lead or support project development, including site selection, permitting, and regulatory compliance, while collaborating with utilities, developers, and internal teams to advance renewable energy procurement strategies.
🎯 Requirements
• Proven experience in thermal generation project development. • Strong understanding of energy markets, permitting processes, and regulatory frameworks. • Ability to manage multiple projects and engage with key stakeholders. • Demonstrated success in closing energy procurement deals, particularly in thermal generation. • Strong commercial acumen with experience structuring and finalizing power purchase agreements (PPAs) or similar contracts. • Ability to set and achieve KPIs related to MW acquisition and project completion. • Strong understanding of utility rate tariff structures, including demand charges, energy pricing, and cost-recovery mechanisms, with the ability to apply insights to project evaluation and deal structuring.
