Description
• Analyze supply chain data to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement. • Collaborate with Purchasing and Operations to monitor inventory levels, production schedules, and lead times to optimize stock availability and reduce the risk of stockouts. • Work alongside Purchasing, Operations, and Sales teams to forecast demand, manage supplier performance, and implement effective inventory control strategies. • Develop and track performance metrics and KPIs to measure supply chain efficiency. • Identify and implement cost-saving measures through improved procurement practices, logistics streamlining, and process automation. • Support supplier negotiations and develop strong relationships to ensure consistent supply, quality, and cost-effectiveness. • Assess and recommend new suppliers based on criteria such as cost, quality, and delivery performance. • Create reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. • Assist with the implementation of supply chain software and technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field. • 2-4 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or procurement role, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and derive meaningful insights. • Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems (experience with Epicor, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus). • Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams. • Knowledge of construction fasteners or related products is an advantage but not required.
