Description
• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / CPA. • Strong background in commercial real estate syndications, developments, and real estate fund accounting. • Expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and fund management. • Proficiency in using QuickBooks for day-to-day financial operations. • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for commercial real estate syndications, developments, and funds. • Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements and reports. • Oversee fund accounting, including tracking investor contributions, distributions, and performance metrics. • Conduct tax planning and compliance, focusing on real estate-specific strategies such as 1031 exchanges and cost segregation. • Reconcile accounts, manage cash flow, and oversee general ledger activities. • Collaborate with internal and external teams to evaluate real estate transactions and provide financial insights. • Stay current on industry trends, accounting standards, and tax regulations affecting commercial real estate. • Provide financial advice and guidance to stakeholders on real estate developments and investments.
Requirements
• CPA certification (or equivalent, such as CA or ACCA) preferred. • Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting for commercial real estate, including syndications and fund management. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial management software. • Strong understanding of real estate tax laws, including depreciation, deductions, and capital gains. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. • Experience with cost segregation studies and their financial impacts preferred. • Familiarity with real estate investment trust (REIT) structures preferred. • Background in multi-state real estate tax compliance preferred.
