• Interprets protocols from a financial perspective; develops clinical trial budgets, negotiates pricing, and presents budget proposals to executive management. • Creating new budgets in Excel based upon Sarah Cannon cost and charge information. • Analyzing clinical trial protocols to provide a detailed counteroffer to the Sponsor's initial budget. • Negotiating budgets with Sponsors/CROs for favorable results and future relationships. • Communicating budget statuses to executive management. • Soliciting input from clinical staff and management for timely budget clarification. • Attending protocol and budget review meetings. • Preparing and presenting budgets to the Chief Medical Officer. • Collaborating with Contract Analyst for final contract execution. • Using clinical trial management system for budget input.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree • At least 1 year work experience utilizing basic financial principles, Excel, and other data management tools (e.g. CTMS) • At least 1 year of experience in budget negotiation • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other complex formulas • Familiarity with clinical research and/or medical terminology • Functional knowledge of clinical trials, preferred • Analytical decision-making skills • Project management capabilities • Strong negotiation and professional communication skills
