📋 Description

• The Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the company’s IT security tools and network infrastructure. • This role requires a proactive high-energy professional who can identify potential security risks, manage security incidents, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. • The Security Engineer will work closely with other departments to integrate security measures into all aspects of the company’s operations, with a strong emphasis on driving value to the business. • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and threats. • Monitor and remediate security incidents, providing timely and effective responses. • Manage and own the network infrastructure, ensuring its security, reliability, and performance. • Manage the administration of all security systems and their associated software, including XDR, SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and anti-virus software. • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (ie NIST and SOC 2). • Provide training and awareness programs to staff on IT security best practices. • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats. • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and functional leaders across the organization. • Drive value to the business by aligning security initiatives with organizational goals and objectives. • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients. • Maintain and create security policies as necessary. • Document and maintain security and network tools, processes, and diagrams.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and/or security management • Relevant certifications a plus (ie CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc) • Expertise in managing and supporting complex IT infrastructures, including Azure, servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms. • Experience with cybersecurity principles and practices: identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover • Expertise in security posture gap analysis, prioritization, and project management • Proficiency in Azure infrastructure is a must • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and support. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically. • Apply Agile and ITIL framework principles and processes to solve problems.
