• Assist in generating and closing leads for the Sales Department • Employ effective sales strategies and practices to engage prospect accounts • Collaborate with the business development team to research and prioritize target account lists • Generate new business opportunities by performing outbound sales activities (prospecting) • Explain the value proposition of our product and communicate key information on our products • Gather information on prospects, including fit and timing • Educate prospective customers on how our software works and how it can benefit them • Nurture leads through ongoing phone and email communications • Use Salesforce to track prospects and keep information current • Work with marketing to create materials that support lead generation and nurturing activities • Focus on achieving monthly quotas of outbound calls, appointments set, opportunities created and sales accepted leads • Build a strong ongoing pipeline of prospects and leads
• 6 months – 2 years of sales experience • Bachelor’s degree or higher • Strong understanding of consultative sales skills with potentially long sales cycles • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Goal oriented with a strong desire to succeed • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and work under pressure with changing priorities • Detail oriented and highly organized • Good working knowledge of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office applications) • Proficient in a multi-task environment; can type, text, email, and present via web and phone • An understanding of web technologies and computer programming – a plus but not required • Higher Education experience a plus but not required
