📋 Description
• Manage an accounting team, ensuring a timely and accurate execution of core functions • Own and enhance month-end close processes and internal controls, including identifying opportunities to integrate AI-powered tools for automation. • Perform deep-dive accounting analysis of complex transactions with a specific focus on our loan business • Support audit preparation and work with external auditors as needed. • Streamline and consolidate accounting processes across multiple businesses • Work closely with the Controller on key projects. • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting as necessary • Support audit preparation and work with external auditors as needed • Provide support to the Treasury function • Provide regular variance analysis on key financial information
🎯 Requirements
• CPA with minimum 5 years progressive work experience is mandatory. • Previous experience in a public company and IFRS reporting is preferred. Financial services industry experience is definitely an asset. • Financial reporting experience. • Advanced experience using MS Excel; working knowledge of Netsuite. • Successful experience with process improvement/redesign and change management. • Quick learner and adaptable to a dynamic environment. • Strong interest in AI to improve accounting and financial reporting functions • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to understand complex issues. • Self-starter with a high level of ownership and accountability. • Strong technical ability • Able to perform detailed variance analysis. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
