•Ollie is looking for a Food Process Engineer with expertise in process and packaging engineering to join our team. •This role will support Ollie’s mission by optimizing and ensuring high standards for our food production and packaging processes while managing relationships with external partners. •The Engineer will work closely with existing partners and will also play a key role in identifying and scoping out new partners and manufacturing processes to meet Ollie’s growth expectations. •Internally, they will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in operations, quality, and product development, focusing on efficient processing methods and innovative packaging solutions that protect product quality and enhance our customers' experience. •This role will be instrumental in ensuring process reliability, efficiency, and safety within a fast-growing industry and an impactful business. •This role is based remotely and will report to the VP of RD&E & Commercial Enablement. Travel is required, up to 50%.

Requirements

•You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. •You have 3+ years of experience in process engineering, ideally within a food manufacturing or packaging environment - preferably in meat, pet food, or ready to eat food development or manufacturing. •You have 3 years of experience managing multiple projects in a manufacturing or development environment. •You are comfortable with travel- up to 50% •You bring hands-on experience with packaging materials and technologies. •You have a strong background in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and root cause analysis. •You are detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. •You exhibit Intellectual curiosity, innovation and initiative. •You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-led late stage startup organization. •You possess strong problem-solving skills and have experience working cross-functionally to drive results. •You are passionate about Ollie’s mission and are eager to apply your skills to improve the lives of pets and their parents.
