📋 Description

• The Associate Director of Denials and Appeals will effectively lead the billing, collection and accounts receivable team. • The Associate Director also manages daily supervision of Denials and Appeals staff. • Executes and implements strategic goals through the leadership team. • Functions as a member of the leadership team in strategic planning and advisory capacities. • Directs Billing Management to ensure accurate submission of all claims. • Establishes and maintains all billing and financial data. • Analyzes reimbursement and follows up pending claims. • Assures maximization of cash collections through monitoring of accounts receivable balances. • Maintains and enhances billing policies and procedures. • Prepares analyses and reports of billing activity. • Manages for continuous improvements within the revenue cycle process. • Effectively interacts with various functional areas. • Provides mentoring, coaching and performance reviews for direct reports. • Manages outreach billing operations including hiring, orientation, training, and monitoring staff activities. • Leads a high-performance team responsible for various billing functions. • Collaborates with the RCM Finance team on billing activity analysis. • Participates in the Compliance Committee regarding coding and billing items. • Develops and implements operating procedures to improve productivity. • Conducts annual performance evaluations and hiring decisions. • Interfaces with third-party payers to resolve reimbursement issues. • Assesses performance and provides feedback to staff. • Identifies training needs.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent years of experience required. • Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing a high volume, fast growing billing office within the laboratory setting is preferred. • Extensive knowledge of reimbursement, billing, coding and compliance regulations is required.
