• Oversees department operations, designated projects, schedules and activities as needed to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame. • Sets priorities and functional standards, giving direction to staff as necessary to ensure the best possible delivery of service and high stakeholder satisfaction. • Drives department service standards and activities to impact department and/or system score for customer-based satisfaction, through role modeling and fostering accountability. • Serves and actively participates on various entity committees as a voice for the department. • Collaborates with IT leadership and business stakeholders to establish the strategy and roadmap for clinical business solution systems in alignment with the current and future needs of the business. • Utilizing the resources available will develop and execute on strategies that meets the business stakeholders needs • Develops and manages department operational budgets, approvals, and ongoing maintenance of the department, ensuring operation in a cost-effective manner. • Proactively identifies and plans for capital needs related to current and future department projects. • Ensures staffing plans and schedules meet department needs that reflect understanding of the importance of cost-effectiveness. • Creates department strategies to achieve financial target and staffing needs, through optimizing productivity, supply/resource efficiency. • Develop and manage the product portfolio roadmap and scope opportunities to meet ROI and obtain appropriate funding • Identifies and implements innovative solutions for practice or workflow changes to improve department, entity or system operations by leading projects and/or other department/enterprise-directed activities. • Proactively leads task forces and committees • Drives change initiatives, maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures. • Partners effectively with stakeholders as appropriate. • Ensures own career discussions occur with appropriate management. • Completes and updates the individual development plan (IDP) on an ongoing basis. • Conducts conversations with staff on their development and IDP. • Apply broad knowledge of our product/service capabilities to identify new product areas, new technology, and emerging product/service opportunities. • Partners with Sr Director of technology and Architecture on the technical feasibility and designs on proposed solutions.
• 10 years IT experience to include minimum of five years management experience • Experience with a variety of methodologies such as Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Scrum and Agile Development, and Software as a Service (SaaS) based software delivery. • Experience owning and managing vendor relationships. • Experience with product management principles • Experience with project management principles, PMP certification a plus • Experience working with Healthcare RCM and clinical solutions preferred • Experience with managing large scale, integrated solutions in the healthcare setting • Ability to comprehend complex workflows and technical solutions, and can articulate to others in easy to understand, less technical jargon. • Experience working with customers to understand needs and define requirements for improvements to IT solutions, user workflows and data analysis • Experience with software development processes and working with development teams, both locally and offshore. • Ability to influence others through collaboration and building trust • Ability to communicate with C-Level executives and physicians clearly and effectively • Experience leading successful projects on-time, on budget and meeting the customer needs
