📋 Description

• Nava is a consultancy and public benefit corporation working to make government services simple, effective, and accessible to all. • Since 2013, federal, state, and local government agencies have trusted Nava to build transformative digital services to help people access public benefits. • Nava's Principal Software Engineer (FHIR) is an expert in HL7 FHIR and related standards and serves as a vital bridge between Nava, technical experts, external developers, and clients. • Your mission will be to drive the overall strategy and architecture for FHIR-based software services within major federal agencies. • Responsibilities include speaking with customers, gathering feedback, and translating that feedback into actionable steps with the project team.

🎯 Requirements

• Current and/or prior experience developing API endpoints with Kotlin, Java, Python, Ruby, etc • At least 6 years of experience working in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably designing and building medium to large-scale web applications on Cloud Platforms • Strong experience in the healthcare industry - you live and breathe HL7/FHIR! • Experience utilizing Smart on FHIR standards to build healthcare applications • Tenacity to dive into problems and iterate in working code • Equal parts systems thinker, software engineer and overall evangelist • Highly resourceful, reliable, and detail-oriented • Ability to think strategically around trade-offs and short term vs. long term benefits • An adaptive, empathetic, collaborative and positive mindset • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, technical and otherwise.
