📋 Description
• Looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team at Spry Fox to build an original, non-violent MMO • Work alongside a talented team to build game server and backend • Coordinate web service and game server deployments across many machines • Responsible for the security of publicly accessible services and game servers • Help design and maintain systems that persist data from requests
🎯 Requirements
• Worked on one or more shipped online multiplayer games with persisted game state • Deep understanding of the entire tech stack • Implemented gameserver features such as networking and data storage in C++, or an equivalent language • Shipped scalable game services using a language such as Python, Rust, Go, or equivalent • Experience with server and/or service load testing • Familiar with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and relational databases • Ability to communicate with all team members on tradeoffs required to build a large scale online multiplayer game • Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies (such as Docker and Kubernetes) is a bonus
