β€’ Newsweek is the global media organization that has earned audience time and trust for more than 90 years. β€’ As a UX/UI Designer at Newsweek, you will play a pivotal role in creating intuitive and engaging user experiences across our digital products. β€’ You will be responsible for the complete design process, from conducting product research to delivering final designs. β€’ Your expertise in tools like Figma, Miro, and Adobe Suite will be essential in bringing innovative ideas to life. β€’ Proficiency in Jira is a plus for managing design tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams. β€’ Conduct product research to inform design decisions and strategies. β€’ Synthesize data findings to create user-centered design solutions. β€’ Design and deliver high-quality UX/UI products in line with brand standards. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and editorial, to align on design goals and solutions. β€’ Present design concepts and proposals to stakeholders with clarity and confidence. β€’ Iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing. β€’ Ensure pixel-perfect execution of designs, focusing on typography, color theory, and overall visual aesthetics. β€’ Take projects from inception through to final delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. β€’ Maintain a proactive approach, remaining self-sufficient while being open to guidance and feedback from leadership.

Requirements

β€’ Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role, with 3-4 years of hands-on design experience. β€’ Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Miro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with Maze is a plus. β€’ Strong portfolio showcasing design projects, particularly in digital media and web applications. β€’ Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail. β€’ Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices. β€’ Ability to effectively communicate design concepts to non-design stakeholders. β€’ Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborative environments. β€’ Proficiency in Jira for managing project tasks and collaborating effectively (a plus). β€’ Self-motivated and able to work independently while aligning with team objectives. β€’ Experience in a news company environment is a plus, but not required.
