Description

• Provide financial management support to the Chief Financial Officer and other laboratory business leaders • Work within a dynamic CFO organization closely collaborating with other financial analysts and managers • Support the annual NREL financial planning process by partnering with NREL program, project and center leaders • Provide analysis and financial guidance to Program and Project Managers through the life cycle of projects • Develop monthly financial performance reports for assigned programs, projects, and centers • Perform plan to actual variance analyses and discuss issues with applicable leaders • Coordinate the allocation of monthly funding with applicable project/task leaders • Maintain updates to cost breakdown structures using the Oracle Project Accounting system

Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience • Relevant Master's Degree or equivalent relevant education/experience • General knowledge and application of technical standards, principles, theories and techniques • Frequent application of industry concepts and principles • General knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, procedures and practices related to specific field • Skilled in problem solving, written and verbal communication • Ability to use various computer software programs • Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date • Knowledge of financial principles, theories, and concepts • General knowledge of other related disciplines • Knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, procedures, and practices related to finance • Strong leadership, critical thinking, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills • Strong Microsoft Excel skills • Understanding of relational database/data warehouse query/retrieval skills
