β€’ With deep expertise in chemistry, Nuvalent creates selective medicines for cancer. β€’ The Director of US Field Medical Affairs develops, manages, and coaches the US Field Medical team. β€’ Responsibilities include recruiting, leading development plans, and ensuring compliance standards. β€’ Collaborates with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to drive success.

Requirements

β€’ Advanced, medical / scientific doctoral level degree required: MD, PharmD, PhD. β€’ Demonstrated ability to create departmental capabilities, processes, and procedures to ensure alignment with desired outcomes. β€’ 10+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech Industry with Medical Affairs. β€’ 5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing Field Medical teams. β€’ Global product launch experience. β€’ Demonstrated expertise in solid tumor oncology. β€’ Demonstrated experience recruiting, hiring, and retaining Field Medical talent. β€’ Demonstrated leadership skills (proactive, strategic, creates a highly accountable team culture, provides clear direction), project management and organizational skills, with the ability to evaluate competing priorities to arrive at an appropriate decision. β€’ Collaborative, team-based approach; ability to network and partner with internal and external stakeholders, including medical thought-leaders and a wide range healthcare professionals. β€’ Thorough understanding of applicable regulatory requirements for field-based personnel and PhRMA guidelines, including geographic regulatory related guidelines. β€’ Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Field Medical best practices. β€’ Experience in recruiting, on-boarding, managing, coaching, and retaining talent. β€’ Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills required. β€’ Up to 50% domestic travel.
