Description

As our Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for bringing our accounting functions in-house and establishing robust financial processes. Manage all general accounting functions, including invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Prepare financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders Oversee month-end and year-end close processes Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and support decision-making Lead the selection and implementation of accounting software and systems

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred with 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role Strong understanding of the insurance industry, particularly commercial lines Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping roles Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks, Gusto) and Spreadsheets (Excel) Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
