•About Ophelia •Ophelia helps people end opioid use with respect for their time and dignity. •Our mission is to make evidence-based treatments for opioid use disorder accessible. •We are a healthcare startup providing FDA-approved medication and clinical care through telehealth. •We operate in 14 states, focusing on discreet, convenient, and affordable treatment. •As a Software Engineer III, you will develop innovative solutions for opioid use disorder treatment. •You’ll work across the stack, focusing on front-end applications using Typescript, React, and Firestore on GCP. •Your work impacts patients, clinicians, and our ability to scale. •You’ll be responsible for the full product cycle in a remote environment. •Collaborating deeply with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure product efficacy.

Requirements

•5+ years experience in engineering, ideally with a portion at a growth stage company with bespoke systems •Independent problem-solving skills of complex technical challenges, debugging issues, and optimizing performance across a full stack, cloud-based application •Ability to own complex projects, working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to design the project, outline and plan execution, and handle post-rollout feedback and iteration •Product-minded orientation, with an eye towards the customer and a habit of seeking the tightest scope (MVP) that will deliver solutions to business problems quickly •Experience in true agile practice including highly collaborative development, value-driven with hypotheses and experiment design, and an overall iterative development mindset •Stellar collaboration and communications with a habit of effectively communicating technical concepts and progress with teammates and stakeholders •Exceptional time management skills including the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively, estimate LOE accurately, adapt to unexpected events rapidly, switch context quickly, and guard focused coding time •Habits of a technician including constant improvement, learning, measurement, and objective, reasoned thinking •Passionate about our mission to make evidence-based addiction treatment universally accessible •(Not required, but ideal) Background in a regulated industry, ideally healthcare — telehealth is a big plus! — and can bring a thoughtful approach to compliant, private, secure software that remains nimble and modern
