• The Helios Group Vice President (GVP) is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for managing all financial aspects of the company, from strategic planning to daily operations. • The GVP oversees financial planning, budgeting, reporting and compliance, while leading the finance team to achieve operational excellence. • Acting as a trusted advisor, the GVP provides insights on financial performance and business development opportunities. • Focuses on ensuring the company’s financial health supports its long-term objectives. • Work directly with the CFO, Corporate Controller and Operating Company controllers to provide financial leadership. • Key job responsibilities include partnering with the leadership team to assess financial performance and develop long-term strategic financial plans. • Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with company strategy. • Lead a high-performing finance team and manage financial operations, including compliance and reporting. • Prepare board-level presentations and identify financial risks • Mentor finance professionals and build strong cross-functional relationships across the business. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or professional accounting equivalent license • Bachelor’s degree in accounting • 3+ years in public accounting • 6+ years in industry • 2+ years Controller-level experience (managing staff that report into you) • Proven experience managing a general ledger of a company and running a month-end close process from start to finish • Experience with percentage of completion accounting • Excellent understanding of US GAAP • Strong ability to communicate accounting and financial information into common language • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and teamwork • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • A positive and resourceful can do attitude • Flexible mind set with the ability to effectively balance and manage multiple priorities • Knowledge of Project Accounting • Experience with systems implementation • Experience using Sage Intacct • Experience using Quick Books
