β’ Otto Aviation is building the next generation of business aircraft. β’ You will join a team developing the worldβs most efficient aircraft. β’ Responsibilities include defining environmental control system requirements, performing trade studies, overseeing supplier integration activities, and leading development through design and qualification phases. β’ Generate, review, and/or approve system safety analysis, engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, test plans & reports, and compliance documentation. β’ Coordinate with cross functional teams to define and validate environmental control interfaces with adjacent systems and structures. β’ Maintain and report on activity schedule, budget, and technical status.
β’ 5-8+ years of experience in the design and development of cabin pressurization and environmental control systems, including experience with vapor cycle and air cycle systems, electro-mechanical thermal/pressure control valves, outflow valves, pressurization controllers, temperature controllers, heat exchangers and fans. β’ 1+ years of experience overseeing, guiding, and mentoring less experienced engineers. β’ 1+ years of involvement in bid, proposal, and project capture activities. β’ Strong knowledge of environmental control systems common in modern Part 23 / Part 25 business aircraft. β’ Mastery of FAR Part 23 and Part 25 certification requirements and processes pertinent to the environmental control system. β’ Strong understanding and experience with RTCA D-160G, DO-254, and SAE ARP4754A. β’ Advanced knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing. β’ Strong knowledge of industry standards and hands-on experience. β’ Overall knowledge of mechanical systems, propulsion, structures and key interfaces to the environmental control system. β’ Proficiency with Dassault 3DX and/or CATIA V6 to interrogate both 3D and 2D data. β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills. β’ Ability to closely coordinate with manufacturing to support MRB activities. β’ Experience managing supplier relationships.
