Description

β€’ The Inland Marine Technical Manager must be involved in business activities that support the business needs of the organization. β€’ Strengthen the level of expertise within the Risk Engineering Organization (REO). β€’ Provide technical assistance and support to all internal and external partners. β€’ As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the various Inland Marine Line of Business and related disciplines. β€’ Provide the needed technical guidance to understand and anticipate changes in industry, regulation, appetite and strategic business needs. β€’ Timely completion of all work assignments and Quality Reviews. β€’ Act in a business consultative role to our internal and external business partners. β€’ Regularly communicate and collaborate with Inland Marine business partners. β€’ Communicate information to the REO to assure understanding and action upon business partner key initiatives and objectives. β€’ Development and implementation of key training initiatives for all products Inland supports. β€’ Plan, organize and manage resources to bring about successful completion of project goals and objectives. β€’ Develop, implement, and evaluate project plan(s) for special projects as assigned. β€’ Monitor progress against the plan taking corrective action when necessary. β€’ Serves as Mentor and Project Leader for the organization.

Requirements

β€’ BA/BS degree preferred β€’ Construction or Civil Engineering background with highway, bridge and tunnel experience preferred. β€’ Experience with Renewable Energy (solar/BESS) along with general knowledge of all Inland Lines such as Warehouse Legal/Property/Equipment desired. β€’ Experience in insurance or related field is required with a minimum of 10 years related experience. β€’ Certification/designation(s) (i.e.) of AMIM, CSP, CPCU, ARM, PE, etc. (at least one is preferred, but is not required) β€’ Superior analytical and problem solving skills. β€’ Ability to work in a fast changing, dynamic environment. β€’ The ability to work on multiple tasks and assignments. β€’ Results orientated and high level of accountability. β€’ Motivated, self-starter. β€’ Works independently with minimal oversight. β€’ Ability to work confidently with all levels of management across organizations including senior executives in Home Office as well as the Field.
