Description

• VP-Underwriting is responsible for producing, underwriting, managing and retaining profitable business for the company. • The primary objective is to underwrite, maintain and grow the Brit portfolio. • Underwrite new and renewal accounts; liaise with Actuarial to ensure competitiveness and profitability. • Provide advanced technical expertise and manage entire underwriting cycle for individual accounts. • Lead and guide team members in development and successful completion of departmental goals. • Review evaluations of underwriting and risk information. • Prepare and maintain management reports and provide financial performance analysis. • Develop new business opportunities aligning with underwriting strategy. • Participate in client meetings and maintain key client relationships. • Establish knowledge of internal controls and procedures relating to underwriting. • Identify areas of improvement in the department collaboration with company leaders.
