• Providing model driven insights to business partners • Lead the development and implementation of data-driven models and algorithms to enhance the underwriting process • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation • Analyze large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights and support decision-making • Develop predictive models to assess risk and improve underwriting accuracy • Implement machine learning techniques to automate and optimize underwriting workflows • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data science and machine learning • Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field • Proven experience (8+ years) as a Data Scientist, preferably in the life insurance or financial services industry • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn) • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and presentation skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • Knowledge of life insurance underwriting processes and regulations is a plus
