Description

• We’re looking for a highly motivated Paralegal to join our legal team as we expand. • This position reports directly to our General Counsel and will work closely with Senior Counsel and our business stakeholders at all levels of the company. • This is a generalist role that involves managing and supporting projects across the full range of subject matter supported by the legal department. • In this position, you will be a key partner in reviewing and drafting contracts, conducting related legal research, contract management, record keeping, and regulatory compliance. • You must be able to adapt to changing priorities and business needs. • This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, which can navigate evolving legal and business landscapes, as well as an agile business approach, and can help the company through its transition from its current phase to mature company status. • Help data.world fulfill its public benefit mission and be part of its B Corporation team.

Requirements

• 5+ years corporate legal and contracts experience • Strong analytical and organizational skills • Detail oriented • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Self-starter, able to handle diverse workload, and to proactively identify and seek ways to improve legal processes and operations • Ability to work both independently and in partnership with various company leaders • Sound decision maker, effective time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills • Ability to effectively interact with executive-level internal and external parties, exercising discretion in the handling of confidential information • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including training experience, policy drafting and communications and ability to effectively convey information across a different roles and departments • An appetite to try new things. You’re curious and excited to improve your process, and always looking to learn. You ask questions and don't shy away from challenges • Transparent and open communication style
