Description
• Reviewing data quality reports and identifying inconsistencies. • Conducting training sessions with data stewards on governance policies. • Collaborating with IT to implement data monitoring practices. • Updating the data governance catalog with new glossary terms. • Attending meetings with the Data Governance Council about ongoing projects. • Analyzing datasets for accuracy and setting up quality metrics. • Documenting findings and preparing reports for the Data Governance Lead.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field. • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices. • Experience with data quality management and data stewardship. • Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), or equivalent are highly desirable. • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to data governance. • Proven experience leading a data governance program. • Proficiency in Microsoft Purview, Azure Synapse, and other data management tools. • Strong ability to analyze data for accuracy and consistency. • Excellent communication and training skills to work with data owners and stewards. • Ability to propose and implement effective data monitoring practices. • Familiarity with governance practices for Power BI, Dynamics 365, and Salesforce. • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
